Administrative Assistant

Pastoral Care - Part-Time

Sagebrush Community Church is a multi-site church based in Albuquerque, NM. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant for your Pastoral Care team in Albuquerque.

Job Description

The Pastoral Care Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the pastoral care team pastors to help ensure that efficient and compassionate pastoral care is provided. This individual will a variety of highly relational tasks related to organization and communication. They will communicate via phone, email, text, and in-person ensuring that administrative tasks are completed accurately and delivered with high quality.

Essential Function

Individual profile needs: seasoned believer, teachable spirit, compassionate communicator, detailed oriented, time managing.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to handle crisis (funerals, emotional people) by remaining calm and courteous
  • Oversee details related to planning/conducting a service (funeral/memorial), includes scheduling, payment processing, etc.) Will serve as the primary point of contact for services
  • Provide knowledge of the Bible, which may apply during interactions (includes ability to interact well with non-believers)
  • Enter/update data and appointment information in a timely manner, done in all applicable systems
  • Maintain pastoral care resource library, includes setting up and maintaining a library/inventory of books and pamphlets
  • Serve as the point of contact for couples planning to get married, and link couples with the Prepare/Enrich inventory of services
  • Enters data into and maintains various spreadsheets, databases and tracking logs
  • Keep quality records of expenses, request forms, reconcile and submit appropriate documentation
  • Maintain therapist/counselor referral list and periodically to verify their availability
Qualifications
  • Must have a “shepherd’s heart” for people, especially the broken
  • High level of competence, especially with Word, Excel, F1, Planning Center, email, Google accounts etc.
  • Exceptional relational skills that include good listening skills, an empathetic heart, a caring spirit and the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
  • Ability to perform effectively and take action when answers to a problem are not readily apparent
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the church management and congregation
  • Proactive self-starter who can maintain professionalism even during times of crisis and high levels of activity
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule in order to accommodate special events
  • Some college education preferred

Student Pastor

Santa Fe, NM - Part-Time

Sagebrush Community Church is a multi-site church based in Albuquerque, NM. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are currently looking for a Student Pastor for our Santa Fe location.

Job Description

The Student Pastor will see to the health and well-being of the student body through thought-provoking, spiritually uplifting worship experiences, ongoing Christian Education programs, pastoral care and counseling and social activities that promote church and community spirit.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with other Sagebrush Student Pastors to develop a shared message series with the same general content and work creatively to take the general message each week and personalize it with unique stories and creativity.
  • Lead regularly scheduled services.
  • Invest in relationships with students and staff at the high schools and middle schools through campus ministry.
  • Champion the need for and connections to Small Groups.
  • Recruit, equip and oversee all volunteers at the campus level.
  • Manage and maintain data for tracking and analysis purposes.
  • Provide weekly communication for parents, leaders and staff.
  • Interact with other teams at your location to ensure a seamless experience for guests attending our church.
  • Participate and lead in tear down and set up of multi-site campus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Campus Pastor or Executive Youth Pastor.
  • Provide direction, support and encouragement to the campus team.

Qualifications
  • Maintain a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Minimum of two years of pastoral experience in a church setting or comparable experience.
  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on follow through.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on direct interaction with guests and volunteers, as well as leading/ managing others.
  • Strive for excellence and effectiveness with all aspects of ministry.
  • Collaborate with ministry departments and maintain a humble servant attitude.
  • Ordination or eligibility for licensure.

Campus Pastor

Las Cruces, NM - Full-Time

Job Description

The Campus Pastor serves as the executive overseer of the Sagebrush Campus and is responsible to lead ministries and attendees to live out our mission. The Campus Pastor will be responsible to implement the vision and strategies as provided by the church elders, the pastoral management team and the multisite director.

Essential Function

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct oversight to all areas and operations of the Sagebrush campus.
  • Ensure weekend decisions, giving, and store sales are processed correctly.
  • Oversee a number of groups and group leaders at the campus.
  • Plan and execute community events that grow attendance and passion.
  • Facilitate weddings, funerals, and make hospital and home visits, as needed.
  • Oversee outdoor baptism events, campus cookouts, men’s & women’s social events.
  • Provide direction, support and encouragement to the campus team.

Qualifications
  • A fully devoted lifestyle of following Jesus Christ.
  • A college degree, and ministry education are highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of ownership of Sagebrush Community Church.
  • At least 3 years of ministry experience (volunteer activity will be considered).
  • A minimum of 3 years leading a small group.
  • Approach ministry with the core values and practices of Sagebrush in mind.
  • Ability to lead weekly staff meetings to provide encouragement and direction.
  • Develop vision and quarterly strategies to maintain campus momentum.

Worship Pastor

Las Cruces, NM - Full-Time
Summary

Sagebrush is looking for a Worship Pastor to serve on our Worship Ministries Team in Las Cruces, NM. We are looking for a dynamic worship leader who has a passion for engaging the church in song and leading them to participate, not spectate. This person must have strong vocal talent, be able to lead with an instrument (acoustic or electric guitar preferred), lead a band musically, and be a team-builder who knows how to recruit, pastor and equip volunteers.

Our vision as a church is “To know Christ and make Christ known”. We believe that excellence honors God and inspires others, so the candidate must exhibit a teachable and humble spirit. We also believe the church must be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure. The candidate must be able to lead passionate worship, but also be comfortable using Christian and secular music to compliment a weekend message or simply invite or engage attendees.

Essential Function

Individual profile needs: seasoned believer, teachable spirit, excellent communicator and musician, self-motivated, detail-oriented, time managing, engaging personality, humble servant.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have experience with highly detailed weekend services, leading multiple experiences, leading a church of 1,000 or more, working with recording software, experience setting up a multisite campus, and plays multiple instruments well. In addition:

  • Possess a high drive for excellence with the bandwidth to multi-task several projects.
  • Demonstrate that your own personal relationship is growing with Christ.
  • Be willing to serve at a multisite campus.
  • Have a track record of building volunteer teams.
  • Have a heart for ministry.
Required Education and Experience
  • Required, have 1-5 years of full-time ministry experience.
  • Have educational experience involving music theory.
