Graphic Designer

Sagebrush Church is a multi-site church based in Albuquerque, NM. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and relevant teaching from the Bible. Our goal is to help people see how God is relevant to everyday life. We believe that the church should be culturally relevant, while remaining doctrinally pure. This includes the concept of sensitively relating to our culture through our facility, printed materials, and use of the arts. 

The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. In the endeavor to make Christ known, Sagebrush relies upon multimedia elements within the worship setting to illustrate, teach, and inform. Sagebrush maintains a staff of creative professionals that develop, design, and produce content in-house to maintain the level of creativity and excellence that has become a trademark of Sagebrush Church.

We’re looking for a full-time graphic designer well versed in all forms of design, ranging from print to digital, to join our team; someone with big picture vision and a critical eye for detail. 

Design responsibilities include conceptualization and design of series art, branding, apparel, posters, booklets, and other print or digital work. The ideal candidate will have experience, knowledge, and skill sets in the following areas:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Relevant education degree/experience (Graphic Design, Illustration Design, Multimedia Design or related degree)
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign in a Mac environment
  • 2-3 years of professional Graphic and Print Design experience
  • Fearlessness. The ability to make decisions without anyone telling you to
  • Some html knowledge is helpful as well
  • Thorough knowledge of print production
  • An eye for aesthetics, accuracy and detail
  • Capacity to multi-task under tight deadlines
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a multidisciplinary design skill set

The right candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong visual design skills, be a creative person who is not afraid to come up with fun, novel and interesting concepts, and be able to articulate the thought behind each concept. You must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to turn over projects quickly and efficiently. An eye for detail is critical to success in this position. Since you’ll work closely with others on our team, we also hope that you’re collaborative and fun to work with.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Other possible peripheral skills or background experience that would be beneficial to an individual applying for this position could include illustration or animation, 3D rendering, web and app design.

Job Description

Essential Profile

Individual profile needs: Innovative, organized, creative thinker, process driven, highly productive and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include the following, however, the Church reserves the right to assign or reassign other appropriate duties to this job at any time.

Oversee effective follow-up of the production team ticketing system.

  • Help channel all production requests through the churches ticketing system.
  • Work closely with the Assistant Production Manager and the Production Director, to monitor staff members assigned work tickets.
  • Follow up once tickets are assigned to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner, and closed once complete.

Sell dated production equipment on selling platforms.

  • Work with the production team to identify items from all campuses that are no longer needed and ready for resale. 
  • Identify the selling platform such as eBay, Craigslist, Amazon Marketplace or Bonanza etc.
  • Capture photos, write a detailed description of the item(s), post and manage items for sale.
  • Complete transactions, track income and process payment with the Accounting Dept.

Create and manage a check-out/check- in process for production equipment.

  • Work closely with the production team and campus to identify regularly needed AV equipment needs.
  • Create and manage a checkout/check-in process for items that staff can use when they need additional production-related resources.
  • Create process to ensure that items are returned back on time, to the right location, and in the expected working condition.
  • Provide training to appropriate staff on how to apply all production team standard operating procedures.

Work alongside the multisite director to manage the events trailers.

  • Keep a list of production-related items that are routinely available in the trailer.
  • Ensure all trailer supplies are in working condition and to ensure the campus has a smooth set-up/tear down experience.
  • Notify the Assistant Production Manager and/or the appropriate department heads of malfunctioning equipment, improper use of resources, or any concerns regarding trailer items.

Provide Production Team Support

  • Manage and keep track of production team perishable inventory.
  • Order supplies to ensure production team is stocked in advance with perishable items.
  • Working closely with the Assistant Production Manger and Director on other duties as assigned. 
Qualifications
  • Maintain a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Understanding in the use of sound, lighting, and visual technologies used in ministry.
  • Ability to collaborate with other ministry departments while maintaining a humble servant attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on direct interaction with guests, volunteers, leadership and other staff members.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects.

Videographer

Full-Time

Sagebrush Church is a multi-site church based in Albuquerque, NM. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are currently looking for a Videographer.

Description

You will create videos for weekend experiences and ministries. These videos will vary greatly, from documentary style interviews to stand alone motion graphic videos. Projects may include on location shooting, green screening or motion graphics work. Videographer would be responsible for the completion of each project from concept to completion including writing, producing, shooting, lighting, sound, editing, and export.

General Design Skills
  • Demo-reel or previous examples of video work
  • Degree or work related experience in a video/motion design field
  • Proficient in Premiere and After Effects
  • Experience with video cameras and on location shooting
  • Able to produce a video project from conception to completion
  • Self-motivated, detailed and good at problem-solving
  • Able to manage time and meet multiple deadlines
  • Open to critique and willing to collaborate with other designers and videographers
  • Motivated without a due date
  • Beneficial if you have experience with a 3D animation package (C4D, Max, Maya)
