Youth Pastor

SUMMARY:

The Youth Pastor will see to the health and wellbeing of the student body through thought-provoking, spiritually uplifting worship experiences, ongoing Christian education programs, care and counseling, and social activities that promote church and community spirit.

Essential Profile:

Individual profile needs: teachable spirit, entrepreneurial, discipler, seasoned judgment, time manager, captivating, and change-driver.

Responsibilities:
  • Create an inviting culture where students want to bring their friends to worship and build community.
  • Invest in relationships with students in the community, and go where they are through outreach activities.
  • Develop and execute an action-packed discipleship program for the location’s Student Team.
  • Recruit, lead, and have fun with a team of Remix volunteers to reach the students by whatever means possible.
  • Champion the need for and connection to Small Groups.
  • Oversee all student campus events and discipleship programs.
  • Enjoy the art of having fun, while helping students to grow in their relationship with Christ.
  • Be comfortable working with a team of motivated, inspirational, and talented student pastors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Have a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ with a strong working knowledge of the Bible.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies, Ministry, or related field; other course work will also be considered.
  • Enjoy communicating from the stage and have an engaging presentation style.
  • Having previous experience in a Christian leadership or volunteer role as part of a student team is a plus, however, entry-level volunteers are always encouraged to apply.
  • Have a cool slam-ball nickname.
  • Be a team player who easily collaborates with other teams while maintaining a humble servant attitude.

Guest Services Director

Part-time, under 15 hours per week, weekends required

The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are currently in search of Guest Services Directors for our campus teams.

The key to the growth of a church is to get first-time guests to come back. Our Guest Services Director will be in charge of ensuring every guest who comes to a Sagebrush location has the best experience possible!

Essential Profile:

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to and execute an action-packed strategic plan for the campus while focusing on the guest experience.
  • Cast the vision and lead the volunteer Guest Services Team, First Impressions Team, ushers, information desk, and family check-in, and ensure training helps facilitate the vision and purpose.
  • Create an inviting culture where attendees want to bring their friends to worship and build community with us
  • Model engaging and high-energy impressions for all guests, ensuring unique interactions and a personalized approach.
  • Actively recruit and develop passionate, well-trained volunteers and leaders for Guest Services.
  • Communicate need-to-know information and special announcements to the Guest Services Team to ensure they are aware and informed of church/location updates.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to Guest Services volunteers to ensure we deliver a heart-felt experience each and every week.
  • Interact with other teams at your location to ensure a seamless experience for guests attending our church.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Have a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • 2+ years in hospitality and leadership in a church or customer service environment.
  • Associates or Bachelors in hospitality or leadership; life experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • Previous experience in Christian leadership, Guest Services, or young adult volunteer roles is a plus, however, entry-level volunteers are always encouraged to apply.
  • Have an energetic persona to connect with people quickly while demonstrating empathy for those seeking a relationship with Christ.

Events Director

Sagebrush Church is a multisite church based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are currently in search of an events director to plan large-scale, multisite, holiday, and other special events.

The director will provide leadership and support of the planning and execution of church-wide events, assisting in the development of the vision, creation of playbooks, and assigning of responsibilities for the promotion, training, communication plan, along with follow-up/debrief.

Essential Profile:

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with staff and leadership to develop the objectives and goals of church-wide events, lending expertise in event planning and logistics.
  • Bring ideation and innovation to the brainstorming process so that ideas are encouraged and no ideas are lost in translation or confusion.
  • Work with teams to flesh out event details and develop a strategic plan (playbooks), which are used for campus teams, and ensure everyone is clear on the process and their location.
  • Oversee key pre-planning details for events, such as budget, purchases, and space needs.
  • Work in partnership with our in-house Creative Team for requesting design, video, and communication elements, utilizing best practices and strategies for energizing attendance at each event.
  • Provide guidance for event communication, training, and volunteer needs. Inspect to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Maintain a church calendar of events, setting key dates and a deliverables timeline.
  • Follow up after each event to debrief and share successes and opportunities for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Have and maintain a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and have a strong working knowledge of the Bible.
  • 2 years+ in church events planning or other relevant experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge and understanding of event planning principles, space requirements, and resources.

Motion Designer

Sagebrush Church is a multisite church based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are currently in search of an experienced motion designer to join our Creative Team.

Summary:

The motion designer will produce videos for weekend experiences, primarily focusing on the creation of lyrics and motion backgrounds for the worship service. The motion designer would be responsible for the completion of each project from concept to completion.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Presentable demo-reel or portfolio of previous examples of motion graphic work
  • Degree or work related experience in a video/motion design field
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily After Effects)
  • Knowledgeable in typography, filmmaking, design, and color theory
  • Self-motivated, detailed, and good at problem-solving
  • Able to manage time and meet multiple deadlines
  • Open to critique and willing to collaborate with others on the Creative Team
  • Motivated without a due date

  • Experience with a 3D animation package (Max, Maya, C4D)

Preteen (Kids) Director

Full-Time/Weekends Required
Location: Albuquerque, NM

Sagebrush Church is a multisite church based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known.

The Preteen Director will work alongside the Kids Team Pastor, overseeing all functions of the assigned age group of the kids environment. They ensure that weekend services are the best hour of a kid’s week and assists families in the development of their child’s relationship with Christ.

Essential Profile:

Individual profile needs: Communication, creative-thinker, organized and detailed, adaptable, persuasive with a teachable spirit

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure key roles are covered and leaders are prepared well in advance for weekend activities and messages.
  • Co-lead with the Kids Team Pastor, teaching and leading the weekly Wired service message.
  • Be on the lookout to recruit energetic people with a heart for kids to be a part of a growing kids volunteer team.
  • The environment in which our kids learn in key, so ensure it’s inviting, and safety/security protocols are in place.
  • Bring your ideas and help contribute to identifying, recruiting, developing and guiding kids group leaders.
  • We love events at Sagebrush so you’ll assist in the coordination of church events, ensuring ministry excellence.
  • Feedback is a gift, so you’ll provide updates to the curriculum developer regarding the effectiveness of weekend content. You’ll also be tasked with writing content as well.
  • Be proactive in seeking and sharing new ideas to make the kids environment engaging, where kids can grow in their relationship with Christ.
Qualifications
  • Must have and maintain a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and have a strong working knowledge of the Bible.
  • Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies/Divinity or similar discipline, other coursework will be considered.
  • Previous experience in a Christian leadership/volunteer role in a youth environment is a plus, however, entry-level youth volunteers are always encouraged to apply.
  • Possess the ability to handle high-pressure situations with ease and grace.
  • Be able to eat chocolate covered worms while maintaining your composure.
  • Thrive in an environment with multiple competing priorities, and one that resembles herding cats.

Associate Campus Pastor

The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. The role of the Associate Campus Pastor is to work directly with our campus pastor and contribute to and execute an action-packed strategic plan for the growth of the church.

Essential Profile:

Individual profile needs: seasoned believer, entrepreneurial, strategist, leader, discipler, and change-driver.

Responsibilities:
  • Help build lifelong disciples who fully integrate into the congregation and body of the church.
  • Partner with the Rise Young Adults Pastor and lead Rise services at the multisite. Rise encompasses college students, young professionals, married couples, and parents.
  • Champion the importance of Small Groups and assist attendees in assimilating into group life.
  • Provide support for NEXT Ownership events and follow-up on weekend decisions and coordinate outdoor baptism celebrations.
  • Contribute to identifying, recruiting, developing, and guiding the young adult Small Group leaders.
  • Lead a weekly young adult group for the purpose of developing leaders for the multisite and Rise.
  • Facilitate ongoing leader training events and coordinate short-term groups at that Sagebrush location.
  • Provide pastoral care/support in the form of hospital visits, weddings, and funerals as needed.
  • Provide leadership and operational support while assisting teams for special events such as movies in the park, campus cookouts, spring clean-up days, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Small Groups Pastor and Campus Pastor.
Qualifications
  • Must have and maintain a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and have a strong working knowledge of the Bible.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of achievement and growth
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Biblical Studies/Divinity or similar discipline, other coursework will be considered
  • An energetic persona to connect with young adults and lead them to the church community
  • Confidence in knowing you are being called to full-time ministry. 2-3 years experience in ministry as a volunteer or staff is ideal.
  • Familiarity with multisite operations is a bonus.

Student Programming Director

The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. The Programming Director for Remix will oversee the strategy and planning of the student team service elements. Remix is for middle school and high school students and is intended to challenge and grow them in a fun and Christ-centered community.

ESSENTIAL PROFILE

Responsibilities
  • Create large-group service message content and help with service planning.
  • Develop huddle group content with visual solutions to complement the topic and Small Group discussion.
  • Determine and prioritize the yearly programming needs of the student team.
  • Partner with the Creative Team and submit requests for the creation of all digital graphics, printed materials, signage, and videos.
  • Assist in the development of materials for training and onboarding new volunteers and leaders.
  • Evaluate the student’s experience and make adjustments as needed.
  • Assist and contribute to the location's operations, special events, and community outreaches.
Qualifications
  • A passion for student life and bringing students closer in their relationship with Christ.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Biblical Studies/Divinity or similar discipline, other coursework will be considered
  • 2+ years of content/curriculum development in areas of kids or student ministry, or similar environment.
  • An energetic persona to connect with students and lead them to community
  • Confidence in knowing you are being called to full-time ministry. 3-4 years experience in a student environment as a volunteer or staff member is ideal.
