Kids Director

PART-Time/ UNDER 25 HOURS PER WEEK/ Weekends Required
Albuquerque, NM

Sagebrush Church is a multisite church based in Albuquerque, NM. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known.

Summary:

The Kids Team member oversees all functions of the assigned age group of the Kids Planet environment. They ensure that weekend services are the best hour of a kid’s week. The goal of the weekend services is to assist families in the development of their child’s relationship with Christ.

Individual profile needs: Thoughtful communicator, creative-thinker, organized and detailed, adaptable, persuasive with a teachable spirit

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the kids environment is inviting and prepared while ensuring safety/security protocols are in place.
  • Be the go-to person who ensures key positions are covered, and the Kids leaders are prepared well in advance for weekend activities and services.
  • Actively recruit energetic people with a heart for kids to be a part of growing Kids Planet team members and walk alongside them in their relationship with Christ.
  • Pour into team members and leaders by continual training and keeping them updated on Kids Team best practices. Facilitate the onboarding experience and training for new team members and leaders.
  • Be the point of contact for parents/guardians whose kids are in the environment, ensuring they are aware of issues and upcoming activities.
  • Assist with the upkeep of the equipment, supplies and overall care of the environment.
  • Bring curriculum and lesson activities to life with enthusiasm.
  • Provide updates to the curriculum developer regarding the effectiveness of weekend content.
  • Take on any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and align with our church values.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Maintain a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Have 1-2 years experience in providing childcare in a children’s ministry, or day-care setting.
  • Maintain professionalism and a calm sense of urgency even during times of crisis and high levels of activity.
  • Be able to eat chocolate-covered worms while maintaining your composure.
  • Have a flexible schedule and don't mind accommodating special church events.
  • Thrive in an environment with multiple competing priorities, and one that resembles herding cats.
  • Comfortable taking action when answers to a problem are not readily apparent.

Administrative Assistant

PART-Time/UNDER 25 HOURS PER WEEK

Summary:

The Administrative Assistant is a high-visibility role, which will be responsible for providing administrative support to the designated team. The administrative assistant thrives in an environment with a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.

Individual profile needs: Thoughtful Communicator, Detail-Oriented, Planning and Organizing Expert, Multi-Tasker and Time-Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate via phone, email, text and in-person acting as the liaison between the congregation and the church. 
  • Coordinate the scheduling of personnel and needed resources for appointments, department events and services. 
  • Ensure data entry is processed accurately, maintain various spreadsheets and databases, tracking registrations and updating information in Planning Center Online (PCO).
  • Order team supplies, run errands and serve as the liaison between vendors and the church.
  • Point of contact for organizing department events, meetings, workshops and services, etc. 
  • Prepare and monitor monthly reports, process expenses and reimbursements, handle purchasing activities, and review the monthly budget for compliance.
  • Attend meetings for vision casting, planning, along with note-taking and distribution of information.
  • Ensure team/department communication is updated and distributed timely. 
  • Take on any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and be in alignment with our church values.
QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will be able to manage confidential information, interact with diplomacy and professionalism, have a team-player spirit, enjoy taking the initiative as well as direction. In addition to:

  • Professionalism and a calm sense of urgency even during times of crisis and high levels of activity.
  • Technologically savvy as you’ll be working with Google Docs, Sheets, Pages and Dropbox in a Mac environment
  • Have a flexible schedule and don't mind accommodating special church events.

  • Enhanced skill in establishing priorities while balancing multiple competing priorities
  • Have some college-level coursework in administration, business administration or closely related field or three years of related work experience in lieu of education.
Work environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copier machines, etc. Fieldwork may be outside of the office at a variety of different locations.

Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment and read. Videographer

Full-Time/Benefits Eligible
Location: Albuquerque, NM

Sagebrush Church is a multisite church based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are currently in search of an experienced videographer to join our Creative Team.

Summary:

We are seeking a videographer that will create videos for Sagebrush. These videos will vary greatly from documentary-style to narrative script-based videos. Responsible for video projects from concept to completion, the videographer will be responsible for tasks such as scouting for locations, writing scripts, directing, cinematography, lighting, editing, and exporting. The videographer needs to be willing to accept different roles (director, editor, writer, etc.) within a larger production when collaborating with other team members.The videographer will need to have a proactive work ethic, including a self-motivated drive for quality and creativity, and a passion for excellence in the video projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Relevant education degree or professional experience in a similar position.
  • Demo reel or previous examples of work.
  • High level of experience with lighting, audio, lenses, and camera systems.
  • Proficiency in Premiere or another non-linear editing program.
  • Knowledge of all types of cameras, lighting, and production gear.
  • Ability to direct talent.
  • Openness to critique and willingness to collaborate with other videographers.
  • Ability to produce a project from conception to completion.
  • Strengths of being self-motivated, detailed, and a problem solver.
  • Ability to manage time and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to transport, set up, and operate video equipment on location and in studio.

Graphic Designer

Full-Time/Benefits Eligible

Summary:

We are looking for an artist capable of developing graphic layouts, branding, and multimedia elements. Design responsibilities include conceptualization and design of series art, branding, apparel, posters, booklets, and other print or digital work.

Ideal candidates will have experience, knowledge, and skill sets in the following areas:

GENERAL DESIGN SKILLS:
  • Proficient in Adobe applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator to conceptualize and develop projects for web/print layouts.
  • Intermediate to advanced Photoshop knowledge and skills to complete digital illustrations from multiple images/sources.
  • Ability to work a project through phases from concept to rough layouts to final layouts.
  • Knowledge of pre-press formats and specifications to properly prepare press-ready art layout for submission to vendors.
  • Knowledge of web/app formats and specifications to properly save artwork for web use.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

Other possible peripheral skills or background experience that would be beneficial to an individual applying for this position could include illustration, animation, web design, and app design.

  • Follow, empower, and take the vision of our lead pastor and help him and the church reach young people! Our lead pastor believes in us and we believe in the vision God put on his heart.
  • Thrive on the creation of biblically accurate, culturally relevant, and high-attraction teaching.
  • Put your best ideas together to plan gatherings that bring people together and create space for people to share their story.

    Individual profile needs: teachable spirit, entrepreneurial, discipler, seasoned judgment, time manager, captivating, and change-driver.

    Responsibilities:
    • Create an inviting culture where students want to bring their friends to worship and build community.
    • Invest in relationships with students in the community, and go where they are through outreach activities.
    • Develop and execute an action-packed discipleship program for the location’s Student Team.
    • Recruit, lead, and have fun with a team of Remix volunteers to reach the students by whatever means possible.
    • Champion the need for and connection to Small Groups.
    • Oversee all student campus events and discipleship programs.
    • Enjoy the art of having fun, while helping students to grow in their relationship with Christ.
    • Be comfortable working with a team of motivated, inspirational, and talented student pastors.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Have a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ with a strong working knowledge of the Bible.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies, Ministry, or related field; other course work will also be considered.
    • Enjoy communicating from the stage and have an engaging presentation style.
    • Having previous experience in a Christian leadership or volunteer role as part of a student team is a plus, however, entry-level volunteers are always encouraged to apply.

    Guest Services Director

    Part-time, under 25 hours per week, weekends required

    The key to the growth of a church is to get first-time guests to come back. Our Guest Services Director will be in charge of ensuring every guest who comes to a Sagebrush location has the best experience possible!

    Responsibilities:
    • Contribute to and execute an action-packed strategic plan for the campus while focusing on the guest experience.
    • Cast the vision and lead the volunteer Guest Services Team, First Impressions Team, ushers, information desk, and family check-in, and ensure training helps facilitate the vision and purpose.
    • Create an exciting culture where attendees want to bring their friends to worship and build community with us.
    • Model engaging and high-energy impressions for all guests, ensuring unique interactions and a personalized approach.
    • During the weekend, rally the troops during team huddles with excitability and encouragement.
    • Actively recruit, develop and retain passionate, well-trained volunteers and leaders for Guest Services.
    • Communicate need-to-know information and special announcements to the Guest Services Team to ensure they are aware and informed of church/location updates.
    • Provide feedback and coaching to Guest Services volunteers to ensure we deliver a heart-felt experience each and every week.
    • Interact with other teams at your location to ensure a seamless experience for guests attending Sagebrush and execute on the weekend experience with excellence.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Have a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ.
    • 2+ years in hospitality and leadership in a church or customer service environment.
    • Associates or Bachelors in hospitality or leadership; life experience will be considered in lieu of education.
    • Previous experience in Christian leadership, Guest Services, or young adult volunteer roles is a plus, however, entry-level volunteers are always encouraged to apply.

    Motion Designer

    Summary:

    The motion designer will produce videos for weekend experiences, primarily focusing on the creation of lyrics and motion backgrounds for the worship service. The motion designer would be responsible for the completion of each project from concept to completion.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Presentable demo-reel or portfolio of previous examples of motion graphic work
    • Degree or work related experience in a video/motion design field
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily After Effects)
    • Knowledgeable in typography, filmmaking, design, and color theory
    • Self-motivated, detailed, and good at problem-solving
    • Able to manage time and meet multiple deadlines
    • Open to critique and willing to collaborate with others on the Creative Team

    Associate Campus Pastor

    Responsibilities:
    • Follow, empower and implement the vision of our lead pastor and help him, and the church, to reach one more for Christ.
    • Equip and build lifelong disciples who fully integrate into the congregation and body of the campus and church.
    • Put your best ideas together to plan gatherings that bring people together in the community and create space for people to come together for discipleship.
    • Champion the importance of small groups and assist attendees in assimilating into group life.
    • Provide support for NEXT Ownership events and follow-up on weekend decisions and coordinate baptism celebrations.
    • Co-facilitate ongoing leader training events and coordinate short-term groups that are held at the campus.
    • Provide leadership and operational support while assisting teams for special events such as movies in the park, campus cookouts, spring clean-up days, etc.
    • Take on any other duties needed to help drive to our vision, fulfill our mission, and are in alignment with our church values.
    Qualifications
    • Must be a trailblazer when it comes to inspiring others about their relationship with Jesus Christ.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in biblical studies, ministry, or a similar discipline. You’ll stand out if you have a Masters of Divinity.
    • 4-5 years of experience in full-time ministry, familiarity with a multisite model or campus ministry is a bonus.
    • Passionate about getting into the local community to share our mission.
    • Natural ability to collaborate with other teams while maintaining a humble servant attitude for growth and learning.
