Kids Video Script Writer

Sagebrush Church is looking for a script writer that excels in making “YouTube-able” content (we know that’s not a word, but if you’re the right candidate for the job, you’ll get what we mean) for kids.

The ideal candidate would be excited about writing fun and engaging scripts geared toward helping kids in 1st-5th grade learn more about Biblical principles and develop a thriving relationship with Christ. Experience seeing a video project from concept through final shooting is a must. Sagebrush is a team environment, so if your ideas are immune to feedback and collaboration, then feel free to pass.

If you recognize the names Dude Perfect, DanTDM, Miranda Sings, iHasCupquake, or Preston this might be a great fit. Please don’t come to us with tired, cheesy Christian content. Responsibilities:
  • Work with the Creative and Kids Teams to develop and research ideas for original video content.
  • Work with the Creative and Kids Teams to create an initial framework, or treatment, for scripts.
  • Write or adapt stories into a script with a Biblical concept.

Students Video Script Writer

The ideal candidate would be excited about writing fun and engaging scripts geared toward helping students in 6th-12th grade learn more about biblical principles and develop a thriving relationship with Christ. Experience seeing a video project from concept through final shooting is a must. Sagebrush is a team environment, so if your ideas are immune to feedback and collaboration, then feel free to pass.

If you’ve got entire episodes of The Office memorized, this could be the job for you. You should probably be subscribed to Dude Perfect, Mark Rober, Mr. Beast, and Liza Koshey to name a few. We aren’t interested in hoaky, Christian content. No flannel graphs needed here. Kids Team Director

Location: Albuquerque, NM
Status: FULL-TIME/ Benefits Eligible

Sagebrush is a multisite church with multiple community locations based in Albuquerque, NM, and thriving online services that are reaching all across the world. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and engage with one another through teaching the Bible.

We are currently searching for a lead kids director who will be responsible for providing vision, direction, leadership, and support to the kid’s ministry team members at our main location. Kids Planet provides a creative, interactive service that gives kids an age-appropriate setting to learn about Jesus and discover the Bible.

The Individual profile needs: seasoned believer, teachable spirit, entrepreneurial, strategist, seasoned judgment, time managing, captivating, humble servant and change-driver

RESPONSIBILITY

Leadership

  • Provide vision, cultural direction, care and support to the Kids Team at the Riverside location.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the kid’s team members, i.e., room captains, kids directors, programming/curriculum and resource support.
  • Rotate environments to provide support and feedback, and to problem-solve needs.
  • Model servant leadership, excellent communication, and time management to the team.
  • Facilitate bi-annual team member evaluations so the team is nurtured towards growth.

Recruiting/Staffing

  • Ensure that all team member positions and volunteer needs are covered at the Riverside location.
  • Actively recruit for open positions and work closely with the Director of Human Resources to fill vacancies.
  • Assist the Executive Staff Pastor and Director of HR in interviewing and hiring new team members.
  • Maintain the Kid’s Team org chart and stay one step ahead with people in the pipeline.
  • Hold the directors and captains responsible for meeting volunteer ratios.
  • Supervise the volunteer onboarding, training, care and scheduling in Monday.com.
  • Provide seasonal volunteer recruiting events to get a boost of new leads where needed.

Training

  • Provide exceptional development and coaching to the Riverside team members.
  • Work with HR/Central Training Team to get all new hires and volunteers through training.
  • Help the overall ministry to keep training systems and materials current.
  • Use 1:1 huddles with team members for feedback, coaching, mentoring, and development.
  • Rotate environments to model expectations and best practices to team members.
  • Provide seasonal training and development to keep the team members team sharp.

Coordination

  • Provide high-level coordination of weekend operations at the Riverside location.
  • Collaborate with Guest Services for a smooth check-in and pick-up process.
  • Ensure the new family check-in process and tours are done effectively.
  • Oversee team members and operations with the Refocus and Space Station rooms.
  • Manage the volunteer coverage and operations of the Riverside Adventure Store.

Programming

  • Work alongside the Program Team to implement great weekend services.
  • Meet weekly with the preschool and elementary program teams to review content and ensure content/activities are age-appropriate.
  • Provide valuable post-weekend recaps and feedback to program teams for improvement.
  • Assist with the process of developing weekend service plans based on video content.
  • Create the elementary ProPresenter files for Directors & Captains to use at all locations.
  • Collaborate on ideas and plans for special weekends and monthly series.
Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a degree in childhood education.
  • 2-4 years of experience in developing lesson plans and curriculum.
  • A seasoned track record of working with leaders and children.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership position ideally in a childcare or kids ministry

Multisite Production Director

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Responsibilities 

  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of production members and volunteers at our multiple church locations
  • Develop and implement scalable systems and procedures for our multisite production operations
  • Recruit, train, and deploy contractor and volunteer team members to support our multiple locations
  • Evaluate and ensure the quality of technical systems and provide guidance when adjustments need to be made
  • Develop and foster healthy relationships between staff, contractors, and team members
  • Maintain coverage for multisite needs, providing leadership decisions to ensure weekend services are delivered with excellence
  • Must be able to work the schedule Saturday – Wednesday, in addition to work occasional evenings based on church events

 Qualifications

  • Education: degree in a technical profession preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in a live production environment, TV or another applicable environment
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership position ideally in a technical production environment

Student Leader

Position: Mentor, Student Team
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Status: part time

The Remix Student Team reaches over 1,000 students from 6-12th grades through online and in-person gatherings each week. Student Team Mentors will contribute to the high-energy environment that helps students to know Christ and to make Christ known.

We’re looking for young adults who have a thriving relationship with Christ, an energetic presence, a teachable spirit, a relationship-building personality, and who are energized by sharing their ninja-like problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities 

  • Create an exciting and welcoming environment for students as they check in to Remix.
  • Champion the importance of Remix volunteer opportunities by actively recruiting and developing a well-trained team to assist our students.
  • Take the lead in executing our weekly large group service plan, which includes creating the fun around the opening activities/ games, setting the stage for the message, and encouraging discussion in our student huddle groups.
  • Build healthy relationships with students by regularly staying in contact with them, and building trust with their parents/guardians.
  • Touch-base with Remix leadership through weekly updates and share your evaluation of the large group curriculum and its effectiveness.
  • Maintain the upkeep of all student rooms, equipment, and supplies. Ensuring each room is clean after use, and supplies and equipment are ready for the next group of students.
  • Create an amazing first impression for new students who are joining Remix for the very first time.
  • Provide leadership and support to the campus while assisting Sagebrush teams for special church events

 Qualifications

Kids & Students Experience Producer

Full-Time/Benefits Eligible

Do you love helping connect kids and students to the life-changing message of Jesus? Do you naturally think about all the moving parts that go into the process from “idea” to “execution?” Do you love helping pull all the parts together for an inspiring and moving experience to help people connect with Christ?

Sagebrush Church is looking for a Kids & Students Experience Producer/Project Manager to work with the Kids and Students Teams to execute engaging online experiences for K-12 grades.

The ideal candidate will help connect and coordinate ideas, manage ongoing projects, and needs for execution. They will need to have a proactive work ethic, including a self-motivated drive for quality and creativity as well as a strong passion for excellence. An appreciation for the creative arts is highly preferred as well as the ability to understand and connect with musicians, production personnel, videographers, designers, and other creative types.

Responsibilities

  • Provides project management for weekend service elements
  • Contribute to the creative planning process
  • Scout, schedule, and coordinate with talent (actors, musicians, artists)
  • Handle multiple schedules, crew, actors, and volunteers all at once
  • Lead and organize meetings and ensure smooth communication between Creative, Production, and Worship Departments
  • Facilitate the weekly programming planning meeting and follow up on action items
  • Find props and other elements that could enhance the weekend service
  • Look ahead throughout the year for future creative opportunities for online experiences
  • Direct the performance of actors, dancers, and teaching elements
  • Search for new resources and interactive experiences that would be helpful for the weekend services
  • Work with creative teams to pioneer new avenues create that engagement with our audience 

Requirements

  • Relevant education degree and or experience
  • Working knowledge of monday.com project management software (or transferrable experience)

Kids Team Captain

Part-Time / Under 25 Hours Per Week / Weekends Required

Summary:

The Kids Team Captain oversees all functions of the assigned age group of the Kids Planet environment. They ensure that weekend services are the best hour of a kid’s week. The goal of the weekend services is to assist families in the development of their child’s relationship with Christ.

Individual profile needs: Communication, creative-thinker, organized and detailed, adaptable, persuasive with a teachable spirit 

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the kids environment is inviting and prepared while ensuring safety/security protocols are in place.
  • Be the go-to person who ensures key positions are covered, and the Kids leaders are prepared well in advance for weekend activities and services.
  • Actively recruit energetic people with a heart for kids to be a part of growing Kids Planet volunteers and walk alongside them in their relationship with Christ.
  • Pour into volunteers and leaders by continual training and keeping them updated on Kids Team best practices. Facilitate the onboarding experience and training for new volunteers and leaders.
  • Be the point of contact for parents/guardians whose kids are in the environment, ensuring they are aware of issues and upcoming activities.
  • Assist with the upkeep of the equipment, supplies and overall care of the environment.
  • Bring curriculum and lesson activities to life with enthusiasm.
  • Provide updates to the curriculum developer regarding the effectiveness of weekend content.
  • Take on any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and align with our church values.

  • Have 1-2 years experience in providing childcare in a children’s ministry, or day-care setting.

Worship Leader

Responsibilities:
  • Under general direction, the worship leader is responsible for leading passionate and engaging worship, utilizing both Christian and secular music to complement a weekend message.
  • Recruit and provide leadership to a team of musicians at a multisite location.
  • Develop worship volunteers and create a vibrant culture for them to thrive.
  • Pastor and lead the multisite worship team in discipleship.
  • Lead thought-provoking and moving communication from the platform/stage.
  • Take part in community and church special events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Have strong vocal talent and ability to lead with an instrument (guitar or keys preferred).

Videographer

Sagebrush Church is a multisite church based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sagebrush offers a casual environment where people can experience contemporary worship and teaching from the Bible. The mission of Sagebrush is to know Christ and to make Christ known. We are currently in search of an experienced videographer to join our Creative Team.

Summary:

We are seeking a videographer that will create videos for Sagebrush. These videos will vary greatly from documentary-style to narrative script-based videos. Responsible for video projects from concept to completion, the videographer will be responsible for tasks such as scouting for locations, writing scripts, directing, cinematography, lighting, editing, and exporting. The videographer needs to be willing to accept different roles (director, editor, writer, etc.) within a larger production when collaborating with other team members.The videographer will need to have a proactive work ethic, including a self-motivated drive for quality and creativity, and a passion for excellence in the video projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Relevant education degree or professional experience in a similar position.
  • Demo reel or previous examples of work.
  • High level of experience with lighting, audio, lenses, and camera systems.
  • Proficiency in Premiere or another non-linear editing program.
  • Knowledge of all types of cameras, lighting, and production gear.
  • Ability to direct talent.
  • Openness to critique and willingness to collaborate with other videographers.
  • Ability to produce a project from conception to completion.
  • Strengths of being self-motivated, detailed, and a problem solver.
  • Ability to manage time and meet multiple deadlines.

  • Follow, empower, and implement the vision of our Lead Pastor and help him, and the church reach one more for Christ.
  • Put your best ideas together to plan gatherings that bring young people together and create space for people to share their stories.
  • Actively recruit and provide guidance to a team of Rise volunteers and support weekly gatherings for their leadership development.
  • Work within the context of a church with 8 physical locations reaching upwards of 75,000 people every weekend in-person and online.
Here's WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING:
  • A dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ and enjoy being in a culture that is Jesus-focused.
  • A bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, youth ministry, Christian studies, or leadership. A Master of Arts in Theology or similar discipline.
  • 2-3 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of contribution in College/Young Adult Ministry.
  • A natural ability to work alongside other teams while maintaining a humble servant attitude for growth and learning.
  • A thirst for a fast-paced, challenging work environment with multiple competing priorities but offers loads of fun while you win one more for Christ.

Sagebrush is one church with services reaching all across the world online as well as serving people locally in Campuses across New Mexico and Belize. We aim to provide high-quality, relevant, and exciting experiences for all ages no matter how or where you attend. All in-person locations have live worship, kids programming, and on-site pastors and volunteers available to help people feel at home and get their questions answered. All weekend services for adults, students, and kids are available online and on-demand so anyone can watch from the comfort of their home whenever it fits their schedule.
