Creative Content Manager

Location: Albuquerque, NM
Status: FULL-TIME/ Benefits Eligible

Sagebrush Church has an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone looking to assist a team of passionate creatives. We need a detail-oriented content manager who is organized and good under pressure. This person will often be the last pair of eyes on projects before publishing, so if you don’t feel confident in your proofing and understanding of branding, this isn’t the position for you!

This person will join our Communications Team, which serves the needs of our Creative Department as well as our other Sagebrush Church Ministry Teams. Basically, we’re looking for an outstanding analytical personality who can work well with creatives. This position will need to be comfortable proofing a variety of voices, editing with our general church audience in mind (without sounding too churchy), as well as parents, students, kids, and more! Applicants must be able to take a project submission and execute scheduling, posting, and uploading with accuracy to multiple social media accounts. Basically, there will always be many full plates to juggle, so a solid capability when it comes to multitasking is vital. This person has to be one of the most “on top of it” people in the room at all times, as they consistently fact-check, proof before publishing, and ensure timely delivery of various projects throughout the communications team.

Familiarity of the StoryBrand framework and an eye for persuasive writing and marketing copy will be highly beneficial. Basic WordPress-type web knowledge, as well as being a grammar-nerd who loves to proofread (and has already identified how we could have made this posting better), are preferred. Boring, stuffy, high-brow minds need not apply.

Responsibilities

  • Proofread written and digital products for spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, repetition, usage, consistency, and brand voice.
  • Verify the accuracy of all referenced facts (e.g., times, dates, statistics) and double-check cross-referenced materials.
  • Review content with an eye towards campaign, ministry, and brand consistency.
  • Organize an archive of proofed content.
  • Upload sermons, media and graphics to the web and app.
  • Organize and manage content related to ministries and events on the web and app.
  • Upload social media posts on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube for multiple social media accounts daily.
  • Verify the accuracy on all social media posts, including links, spelling, and hashtags.

  • Excellent proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
  • Experience and knowledge with social media marketing and basic WordPress-like website understanding
